Weekly Entertainment Programming
KNT Radio's format targets listeners who went to high school and college in the '70s and early-'80s — those of us who were around when DJs still had lots of freedom to be creative and engage the audience. We blend music and comedy to appeal to "our" generation ... but that DOESN'T mean that we only play old music and comedy bits.
THAT would be boring!
Instead, KNT delivers a unique blend of great music from several eras (classic rock, adult contemporary, crossovers, and even some great standards) and combines it with the occasional parody song that you don't see coming.
KNT Radio approaches programming a bit differently than most other radio stations — both online and "terrestrial" (over-the-air broadcast operations). Probably the biggest general difference is that we don't produce a 24/7 rotation. KNT is more like a one- to two-hour weekly musical special for radio that you can listen to whenever you want ... something to spice up your day and look forward to the next one. We'll have our act together by the time we go live, so you'll have a way to know when a new show comes out.
And, where other radio stations bombard you with commercials, KNT doesn't air paid advertising * ... so our "commercials" are actually comedy bits that are part of the show. We'll let you know if one of them is a "real" commercial -- we'll have to, because you probably won't be able to tell!
Along with fun classic adult variety music, spoof music, comedy commercials and fake public service announcements (PSAs), KNT also provides a real public service by running select, occasional 15- and 30-second PSAs from the Ad Council. But our high standards (which some would consider the lowest of any form of radio) include a screening process for Ad Council spots so that they fit seamlessly into the entertainment along with everything else.

Where KNT Radio's music programming is on a weekly schedule, our comedy news (or should we say, "news") items are updated more frequently. KNT News audio clips are typically 1-5 minutes long and can be accessed on the news page, along with archives from earlier 'casts. We also feature headlines and "news" briefs on our home page, and offer full-feature print stories that are also accessible from our news page.
